“I’m passionate about providing excellent care and support for women, working to achieve equity in healthcare provision, and minimizing disparities for marginalized women and women of color. I believe that all of our patients deserve to be heard and to receive our very best care. I have learned that one of the most important things that I can do for my patients is to listen and be curious. I believe that outstanding care looks like taking time, listening and seeking to understand my patients’ concerns, and then working to make the best decisions together.

Women know themselves and usually have a good idea about what they want and need. I don’t believe that it’s my job to tell other people what is best for them, but to help them decide. My priority is to learn the medical evidence and to strive to be as knowledgeable as possible. Then, my responsibility is to share that information with my patients and help them to decide what they need, by listening, encouraging, and answering questions.

One of my favorite aspects of medicine is that I am constantly learning. Within a field that is perpetually evolving, I learn something new every day, whether it’s new research, a new skill, or a new way to approach a situation. I have learned so much from my patients, and I continue to learn from my wise coworkers and colleagues.

I am so grateful for the work that we are privileged to do together. I grew up in a suburb of Chicago and pursued an undergrad degree in Minnesota. I met my husband in college, and we later married while I was in medical school in Georgia. I trained in Arizona, and we returned to Minnesota in 2010. After working in the northern suburbs, I joined Women’s Health Consultants in 2015. We have two beautiful boys, and my family is nearby. We enjoy traveling, spending time together at the cabin, watching and playing sports, and reading.”
